Wine & Design
If you know me at all, you know that at given moment, I am thinking about how I can rearrange my entire house. I sit there, day dreaming about how I could make my living room a little cuter or my kitchen function a little better. It is a hobby of mine, possibly even a mild obsession. My husband might even argue that it is a problem. But here is the thing, I LOVE doing it. Some people like to paint, some like to attend art galleries, some like to work out (Or do they? Part of me thinks that liking to work out is just an urban myth). The point is, I love re-imagining rooms and rearranging furniture. And then doing it again. And again. And…yes…again. I have always assumed that this behavior is just sorta what people do. Only recently did it occur to me that obsessing over home décor and design is perhaps somewhat of a unique trait. And if that is true, then there are people out there (maybe you!) that can think of nothing worse than styling a bookshelf. Maybe you want your house to look nice and to function well, but you simply can’t be bothered or don’t know how to get it there. That is when it really hit me. I can help you! Not only CAN I help you…I would LOVE to help you!
Here is how it works:
I provide the wine, design consultation and design suggestions. You provide the house or room or space that you want help re-imagining.
IT IS THAT SIMPLE!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What does it cost? NOTHING! They only thing you pay for are the household items you decide to purchase to help you achieve the look that you are going for. Currently, my services are completely FREE!
Huh? That seems fishy. What is the catch? No catch. Listen…I am not a design professional. I am not going to charge you for my amateur advice. If you want to hire me after our first meeting to help you actually help you implement the design ideas we discuss, that is possible, but it is NOT necessary or expected.
I don’t get it. Why are you doing this for FREE? Firstly, I love to do this kind of thing. I can’t explain it, I just do. Secondly, I want to learn more about design and challenge myself to get better. Thirdly, I want to test the waters. No I am not an expert yet, but I might want to move in that direction someday. Lastly, why not? I would rather hang out with you, drinking wine and talking about shelves, than mindlessly scrolling through Facebook! It seems like a better use of my time!
What if I don’t drink wine? Hmm...this is a tough one. I'm not sure what we will do about that little predicament, but I am sure we can figure something out. Tea? I can drink tea (spiked with whiskey).
I'm Interested! what do I do Next?
YAY! So happy that you are as excited about this as I am. All you need to do is shoot me an email at email@example.com and we can schedule a time to sit down together and chat about your space.
I'm on the fence. I need more convincing.
Okay. Fair enough. It can be a little intimidating to invite someone into your home and let them see the problem areas. I get that! But did I mention I will bring wine? Also, problem areas are exactly the type of thing I am hoping to help you address. Let's solve those pesky problem areas together! Oh yeah...and if you need further incentive...the first 3 clients I have the opportunity to work with will also get the added bonus of accessing my full design services. That means, that not only will I give you some design suggestions but I will also help you implement those ideas! I can help you get items framed and/or help you find the perfect piece of furniture. I will actually move your furniture for you and help you style those shelves. All I would ask in return, is an opportunity to photograph your finished space once we have it looking super good! .
