The Kantha Quilt

Kantha is a type of embroidery practiced in eastern South Asia, in particular Bangladesh and the neighboring Indian states. These traditional quilts are made by stitching together pieces of old, discarded, or discolored saris. This process produces some of the most unique, vibrant and beautiful fabrics in the world. Each quilt is completely unique and often has completely different patterns and colors on the two sides. These days, you can buy brand new Kantha quilts that are distressed and made to look old. But these beauties are the real deal. Our Kantha quilts are vintage and perfectly imperfect...just how we like it!
